Why I Left Automotive Engineering to Build scopri.ai
210 days ago, I left my dream job in automotive engineering. AI patent discovery became the starting point for ScopriAI and our mission to make complex technical research more accessible, trustworthy, and faster for innovators.
At first, this may sound strange. I truly enjoyed my work. I had the chance to collaborate with highly talented people, work closely with customers, and contribute to complex innovation projects in the automotive industry. Companies such as Miba Group, Magna International, and Gehring Technologies gave me the opportunity to work on technologies that helped bring innovation to the next level.
One of the most exciting areas I worked on was electric motor technology. Back in 2017, the goal was clear but highly complex: develop electric motor components with very high performance, while also making them ready for high-volume serial production.
Today, technologies such as hairpin winding have become important innovations powering electric vehicles and supporting a more sustainable future.
But behind these innovations, there was a major challenge.
To make the right decisions, experts had to analyze thousands of complex technical documents, understand customer needs, identify market movements, and evaluate competitors. The work was not only time-consuming, but also highly uncertain. Every decision required deep expertise, context, and trust in the available information.
This led to one important question: Where is innovation going next?
Answering this question is difficult, especially when the information is complex, fragmented, and constantly changing. Experts have to invest a huge amount of time just to understand the full picture before they can make strategic decisions.
Why AI Patent Discovery Matters
This is exactly why we started scopri.ai. We wanted to create a solution that helps innovators work with highly complex and specific topics in a better way. A tool that makes advanced knowledge more accessible, while keeping trustworthiness and accuracy at the center.
Because we could not find the solution we needed, we decided to build it ourselves.
ScopriAI is built to support innovators, researchers, and experts who need to navigate complex information, understand technical landscapes, and make better decisions faster.
Our mission is simple: To help people innovate beyond limits.
